Why is my car suddenly loud?
A sudden increase in noise is usually a leak or a failed muffler or pipe. In Minnesota, road salt and moisture rust exhaust components from the outside in, so a section can give out even on a well-kept car. We find where it is leaking.
Is a small exhaust leak a big deal?
It can be. A leak can let fumes reach the cabin, throw off the sensors that manage the engine, and get louder and more expensive over time. It is worth having looked at rather than living with it.
Can you repair a section instead of replacing everything?
